Happy New Year, Everybody!

Apologies for taking so long with this new noozletter, but it has been busy, crazy, etc., blah, blah, blah! First, I would like to say on behalf of every SRO band member, we hope that all our fans had a happy and healthy holiday. Second, my biggest new year's resolution is to keep this noozletter a lot more current. So here goes!!

Groovy New Year's Eve Gig

As usual, SRO had a wonderful New Year's Eve gig at the fabulous Harrah's Hotel and Casino in South Lake Tahoe. For the second consecutive year, we played the Hotel's private party for their top customers. Everyone was in a wonderful mood, the champagne was flowing, people were dancing--and that was just in my room before the gig! But seriously folks, it was a blast. Harrah's is total class and treated the band beautifully.

Groovy Fiddle Gig

As most SRO fans know by now, I play a mean fiddle, and once or twice a year I am asked to play the National Anthem for the SF Giants at Pac Bell Park. Even groovier, I was honored when the Giants and Major League Baseball invited me to play "God Bless America" during the seventh inning stretch for Game Four of the World Series. As a serious baseball junkie, it was a once in a lifetime experience. The bad news was I couldn't stay for the end of the game since SRO had a gig that night. The good news--the Giants won that night.

SRO Trivia Fact #213:

No band member uses as many swear words as Ozzie Osbourne.

Upcoming Groovy Gig

One of the grooviest gigs of all time for the band was playing a Mardi Gras party last year in the New Orleans Superdome for ten-thousand people. We opened for Earth, Wind and Fire, and the grand marshall of the parade was Jason Alexander, who was totally cool and hung with the band for quite a while. Fortunately, we have been asked to return to the scene of the crime and will be back at the Superdome March 1 playing with Kool and the Gang. Gumbo, anyone?

Onward and Upward

Once again, we thank all our fans for staying in touch. I know these are tough times for many, but we are all in it together. Music lifts the spirits, so keep an eye on the calendar as we are trying to find a good date to play in public in the near future. Peace & Love,
