Greetings, and Happy New Year to all our SRO fans and friends. We hope everyone had a peaceful and fun holiday season, and the entire SRO gang wishes you a healthy and prosperous new year. And what better way to kick off '02 than visiting your favorite party band at your favorite SF nightclub. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Feb. 15-17, SRO will be doing something a little different and sharing the spotlight with club favorite Superdiamond. The guys in Superdiamond are old pals of the SRO gang, so we thought we would team up to bring in the new year with a bang. SRO will be going on early, around 9:00pm, so don't be late. It should be a blast.

Groovy Road Trip

On Thursday, Feb. 7, the entire SRO show heads to New Orleans to perform at Mardi Gras. This will be a first for the band, so everyone is extremely excited. Between the food, architecture, music, and history, New Orleans is truly one of SRO's favorite destinations. We will be performing on Saturday night, Feb. 9 at the Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints football team. Considering how much I love the cuisine in the Big Easy, I hope I can make it through the airplane door on the way home!

How Was Your New Year's Eve?

Although we missed all our Bay Area friends on Dec. 31, SRO had a totally groovy time performing for a private party at Harrah's Casino and Hotel at South Shore, Lake Tahoe. The weather and snow were perfect, and there were plenty of ski bums and bunnies cruising at night. Our thanks to all the nice folks at Harrah's for treating the band so well. I must admit that it is harder to rock at 7,500 feet versus sea level. Oh the things we do for show biz.

That's it for now. We certainly look forward to seeing you all at Bimbo's in February. Please be sure to add your e-mail address to our Mailing List and we will let you know when and where we are performing. Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY !!!

Peace & Love,

"Maestro" Dick Bright, bandleader, SRO
